I have a 2001 RX. Is it normal for the brakes to squeek when cold? After about 10 minutes, the squeeking goes away.

 

I've had a squeaking problem that I associated with moisture, rather than cold... could be the same root cause.

When the discs were wet (rain, snow, very humid), they squeaked. As you described, it cleared up after using the brakes a couple of times.

 

yeah when i drive the rx....the brakes squeak when it rains...i am not too sure if it squeaks when it gets cold....cuz it rarely gets cold here.

 

My brake never squeaks, cold or wet. 2002 RX300 original brake.
