Default silverminemotors bbk

Looking for the most cost effective way to get the BBK saw this and was wondering if anyone has purchased from them or has any experience.
Is this a good deal? Also it looks like I could buy everything seperate for less than the price of the kit? Better options?

The LS brake upgrade is awesome. Piece it together yourself and save a bunch.

It's definitely better to piece the kit together yourself. Costwise, it won't be much cheaper, but you get to select better parts. Personally not a big fan of the Posi-quiet pads and the drilled slotted rotors. Went with the Centric high carbon blanks as they're less prone to warping than any slotted/drilled rotors. After repeated drives up and down a local canyon, and some braking so hard that I made the pads smoke, the rotors resisted warping like a champ. For the pads, I'm planning on switching to the EBC red stuff as I have read good reviews from different forums. The posi-quiet ceramics don't work so well when cold and fade pretty badly when too hot.

TT's all around! i love mine, need to be bled cz they're squishy right now but damn do they stop hard when i put the foot down. i had an xB which weighed like half of this car and that took forever to stop compared to this. the TT BBK is bigger than the LS400 BBK also. you can even do Z06 calipers with ISF Rotors with a small bracket addition. someone on the build threads made those and they look awesome!!!

^ Yes but you need to make sure you're wheels will fit over the big TT calipers. TT's are also a lot more expensive.

Are the autozone calipers and rotors worth the price? Quality the same? Do my stock calipers count as core charge ?

just a heads up with the autozone parts.
be careful! many people have returned their stock sc/na supra calipers for the core charge.
Before you leave the store, make sure the supra calipers you get are the 4 pot ones, not the 2 pot.
Like someone already said, autozone employees cant tell the difference between the 2.

I just ordered the silvermine kit. Thinking the ceramic pads and drilled slotted rotors will work
just fine for my 96 with only 66k on her. Right front caliper started sticking so "needed" to upgrade.
Just street driving not a race car.

The LS400 brakes a huge improvement over stock brakes....You will be happy with the setup....I choose LS400 over Supra TT due to the weight of the calipers...The TT are almost double the weight of LS400
