Default Brake Pads

Hello, I own a 2007 lexus IS 350 RWD. The brake pads need to be done and im looking for the best pad replacement. Ive done a bit of reading and are leaning toward EBC redstuff pads.

I can get the EBC redstuff pads shipped for $143.54 for front and rear.

Does anyone have experience with these pads? will these pads eat my rotors? I will not be tracking the car. It s a daily driver with spirited driving. Any other pad suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

I bet you'd be happy with StopTech Streets, which is what I run now. Great DD pad and easily holds up to the HARD DD'ing and the weekend Mtn runs. As far as brake dust goes, it's in-between the OEM low and "normal" pads.

The red stuff pads are a step-up or two in aggressiveness; members do seem to like the pads too.

I'm running on stop tech street performance pads right now. I was told that EBC redstuff wasn't necessary unless I was doing track. So far, they're awesome. I did embed the brakes though so I'm not sure how well they'll hold up in the future as I've never embedded brakes before but I was told that the brakes would last longer if they were embedded.

Is the procedure for brake in the same as listed when the rotors arent changed? i belive my rotors are still good but will have to measure when i take the wheels off. I find the article interesting that it says your suppose to apply the brakes to engage to abs, in my opinion with a new set of rotors and pads you have a higher chance of warping the rotors by doing this.

^^^^You may want to read the attached Link:

Rotors do not warp. This is an old wives tale.

And you do need to bed-in new brakes - This generates LOT'S of heat.
