RMMGS4 will be posting a DIY soon, I believe. I owe it all to him, he was the master w/ the heat gun, dremel and sledge hammer. We also took a a few pics:

Note - the white paint was to help us understand where it was rubbing before we made the incisions.

Also, we bent the metal underneath the wheel well plastic towards the rotation of the tire in order to prevent Bridgestone Swiss Cheese! So far I haven't touched the metal, but I wanted to be safe...

Thanks I will stay tuned. Do you think the wheel wells changed at all from 98 to 2000 because some people say they rub with 20"s and some dont?

The only time I rub is when I turn really hard and back up! I am on the stock suspension so I don't know whats gonna happen when I drop her!

It'll be the samething... Before I had my car dropped I had 20's on.. WHen I reversed and cut the wheel hard, I'd rub.. Now samething when I reverse...

I cant believe your gap looks that good with the stock setup. Im getting the TEIN CS because I have a system in the trunk with a false wall. Which causes the back end to dip lower than the front. I dont want to get springs and have the back tucked and the front with a 2 finger gap.

I've seen 20's on many GS's without a drop and they ALL look good. It's amazing to me too, but there it is. Bear in mind the 245/30-20 I think many use is a good bit taller than a 235/45-17 for example.

Correction.....

245/35/20......... And it's about 3/4" difference..
