Default ~1" Drop Please

Been searching around a bit and it looks like for a mild ~1" drop the Eibachs are the only thing going. How is the ride? Is there anything else available to give a 1" drop?

Sure, coilovers.

I plan to drop the same amount as you, and coilovers are what I will be getting.

Fsports and eibachs are basically the same springs, just branded differently.

Be aware that the drop is not noticeable, make sure its what you want before buying.

are you AWD OR RWD?
coilovers are your safest bet
springs will only make you want more lol, I wanted the same mild drop as you and got H&R springs because I daily drive mine but I would say the difference is really clear when you get coils

RWD. I don't even have coilovers on my Vette LOL. Doubt I will want them on my IS. I just want to lessen the 4x4 look.

Then a ~1 inch drop wont do that

You want coilovers

If they end up looking like the Eibach pics here then I'll be happy. Not looking to spend a grand to get a 1" drop.

You do not have to spend a grand on coils. Your ride quality might be an issue with just springs btw. The benefit of coils is that you can adjust the height and ride quality.

Like I said before, make sure that drop is what you really want before buying springs

Many, if not most, lowering spring users are not satisfied with the drop provided by their springs. Also, our cars have a characteristic of the right side sitting higher than the left side. Lowering spring can't deal with this left-right leaning but coilover can. So, many owners end up buying coilover and sell their lowering springs. And I am one of those. If I have to consider only lowering spring, I would go with H&R. It is the most evenly dropping spring and the drop amount is just about right, for me.
