Default Cost for sways installation

I have searched, but can't find costs for installing TRD sway bars. I got my new ones in yesterday (Darrel at Sewell Lexus), and my local Toyota dealer quoted me $250 to install. I think I saw where someone did a DIY. Is there a warranty problem if not installed by Toyota or Lexus? Thanks for any input.

well it varies from places to places. in LA, the install would be 100 bucks. in north cali, it would be around 150 i would say. in NY you are looking at a much higher cost probably.

if installed by dealer there should be some warranty, but you need to ask coz' it's not something official between everyone. diy is actually very easy since i saw my guy installing it, but imho just to get someone install it to do it right

2 hours labor should be max. I'd say - I think I paid $150 for install.

Ditto. Make sure you get an understanding of the labor rate at your dealer. I think its 80 or 85 for me, so, about 2 hours = ~$160.

Default Install sways

Thanks guys. I thought $150 was more like it. I'll try other dealers around here. Bit, I know Hennessy did yours, (the saga of the inverted sway bar), so they should know how now. Maybe I'll get them to do it. Thanks.

I found this to be an easy job to do myself.

The installation of sway bars on 2nd gen. GS is more like 30 min job if the installer knows what he's doing.

Default New quote

I got a quote from Hennessy today, $175 total. I also got one from local "Toyota Expert" shop (not dealer) for $100. If Hennessy were closer (140 miles) I'd let them do it. Thanks for the advice.
