Are you racing your car? Do you drive hard on mountain roads? Are you experiencing brake fade? What is your purpose of adding bigger brakes?

Would upgrading to the LS brakes, decrease the "mushy" feeling of our stock brakes?

It will decrease brake fade but it will not stop any quicker (unless you have brake fade)

Not sure, that mushy feel is a toyota thing and LS is still Toyota

if you gonna swap them, might as well get some good brake pads, and even consider new brake lines + brake fluid.

don't think the new brake calipers will come with all the brake hardware (pins and springs) that hold the brake pads to the caliper. so you may consider getting those as well

you already know about the RCAs,

- they use the same brake bolts
- you need new rotors, the ls400 rotors to be exact
- new hardware, brake springs, long brake pad bolts, locking pins
- brake fluid, consider dot3 high temp or even dot 4.
- bigger rotors mean trimming or pushing back the backing dust pan.
- new crush washers for the banjo brake line fitting.

these you listed should all come with the new brake hardware kit right?

all that above besides the rotor, fluid and pads is all we need?

I got my LS calipers from autozone. It came complete except for pads which was good since autozone brake pads suck lol. Made a BIG difference with stopping. I don't race my car but it's nice to know that I can stop the car better with upgraded brakes
