Why not just stick with OEM brakes?

^ ceramic rotors are many, MANY times more expensive and have a higher operating temperature range than conventional rotors (typically associated with high-performance/competition use). not worth the money for daily driving applications.

Who said they weren't strong? I must have missed that one somewhere. Putting ceramic brakes on your 250 would be like putting disc brakes on a tricycle. WAY overkill and basically blowing thousands of dollars for no real reason. You can probably change you brakes thru 200k miles and it'd cost you less than 1 ceramic setup. Ceramics are really even overkill for the F. Now my GTR on the other hand....could be done.

I know "ceramics breaks" if you drop ceramics ha ha ha ha!

Yes, ceramic brakes are not needed for the IS and probably as the brakes would not be at a high enough operating temperature to take full advantage of them.

Let go with carbon fiber disc brakes which F1 uses!! j/k!

Is the OP talking about ceramic pads or carbon ceramic discs? The discs like many others have stated are overkill, expensive and will not operate at street driving temperature.

Pads on the other hand are just some ceramic powder mixed into the brake pad compound mix. They will vary in how effective they are in use.

If you want the best stopping power, get good tires instead.

If your car is just used for daily driving, OEM Low-dust pads are all you should need

Just got my pads changed to the low-dust ones since I missed the TSB before my warranty was up. But, they work great
