Default Help on brake pads?

Needing to replace my rear pads 06 IS350. What material are the factory pads made out of, ceramic?

Should i get the factory ones or get EBC red stuff compound pads

http://www.ebcbrakes.com/automotive/...ds/index.shtml

I get them at cost because of the company I work for. So pricing is like a $5 difference vs factory's.

Pass on the EBCs. Stick with OE pads for the rears.

Stick to OEM, not much price difference. Besides, some ceramic pads cause premature rotor wear.

If you go OEM ask them for the low dust pad from Lexus. Rears don't produce much dust. The EBC reds are REALLY good pads, I run them on my MINI and they produce VERY low dust.
