Default car is jerking violently while in reverse

does anybody have any idea on whats going on? it seems to only happen if my foot is on the brake, and slowly backing out. i think it reverses normally if my foot is off the brakes, and gas it in reverse but i don't have much room in my driveway to test the theory. it happens only when i'm braking.

is it the motor/tranny mount, or is my transmission going out. brakes???

i have to work tomorrow morning and i'm to scared to drive to work

i would get the car out on the street for a test drive. just put into reverse and slow remove your foot off the brake and do the same thing in drive and see if it occurs again. might have sticking calipers not grabbing properly. is the engine rpm fluctuating as the jerking is happening?

I'll suggest something completely counter-intuitive: IAC Valve. I need to wait a few more days to be sure that did the trick on mine, as the behavior is sporadic and may have simply decided to play nice since the servicing, but it sure seems like a ever so sticky and/or leaky IACV was the culprit for that and a few other no/low throttle symptoms.

Is there a clunking noise coming from the rear as this is happening, or does it seem to be engine shudder? Could possibly be the bushings holding differential into the sub frame are shot & when you reverse it lifts out of normal position. Just a suggestion for something else to check.

^ I wouldn't be surprised if it's that in conjunction with other stuff. My diff-subframe bushings look pretty sketchy, but the heavy engine shudder when in reverse and on the brakes has completely gone away since figuring out a few IACV tricks. It could be that the IACV was the cause but the bushings allow the symptoms to manifest themselves, making things tougher to isolate.

Instead of having everyone guess, post a video from inside the car showing the gauges, and one from outside. This will give a better idea of the issue.
