Question Jerking when going from reverse to drive

When going from reverse to drive on my IS300, the engine must be reviving high since the car lunges forward in a jerking fashion. Can, or should, this be adjusted?

Do you have you have the car at a full stop and the brake pedal depressed? If so, that's a natural mannerism of automatic IS' unfortunately. My 04 does the same thing.

JERK and squeak like a mother f0cker.
