Mine made more of a popping sound rather than creaking. I am thinking your outer tie rods.
Go and jack your car up so you can stick a pipe or something similar under the tire for leverage and push up on pipe. IF you see any play in the LBJ's then replace. Then I believe you grab the wheel at about a 3 o'clock position and a 9 o'clock position and try moving the wheel. If there is any play that would be the tie rods.

Is your strut and strut mount are OEM still?
I am having similar noise problem but it is not as loud though. Also coming from the right front corner. Mechanic suspecting a failed three months old KYB strut or strut mount. Initially, It started out sounded like the rubber was squeaking when turning slowly and over speed bump. Now it make a little clicking noise (clunking if you refer) every time I step on the gas.
