Has anyone tried the 1st Gen GS OEM STB on a 430? Does it fit with the engine cover? Ive been searching and there are some conflicting answers.. I have been looking for a STB that will clear my 430 engine cover for awhile now. Can anyone tell me which STBs out there clear the 430 cover once and for all?? haha Thanks in advance...

I've been in the same boat with you.. So far, I've research that -- this is for GS430 ONLY

1. Carson tuned, and Carson tuned Replica - Discontinued
2. RMM (Rod Millen) - Discontinued
3. C-One - Expensive $780!!!
4. Cusco - Available but scarce

I just order the Ultra STB, and from my calculations - if should fit so I'm waiting on it to get here to find out..

Which car are you referring to GS 300, GS400 or GS430.. You got any pics?

If it clears my giant T51R SPL turbo, and it cleared the GE engine as well, then I'm positive it will clear a 430.

i have the front lower chassis brace and 6 link from topspeed and i love them. great quality for the price.

I bought the lower bar from top speed and it doesn't fit my GS 400. the passenger side hits the catalytic converter shield... Solid product though..

Hey TMF, I have a GS400 also and had the same front Topspeed SFB clearance issues.
All I did was take an angle grinder and shave down a little on the converter heat shield seams, maybe a 1/4" and it worked perfectly. I don't get any rattling or chatter, granted I have relatively new motor mounts. After the install I did see a noticeable improvement in my steering, mainly it was more consistent, especially around mid speed, 45mph, turns/banks.
