Excessive toe wear
Sup guys,
Someone in the tire forum informed me that my inner tire wear is most likely due to incorrect toe adjustment. My last 2 sets of front tires wore exactly as shown in the attached pics, but when I had my alignment everything was within spec.
I guess I'm wanting to know if there is a particular suspension component that could be wore out that is causing this excessive toe wear even though the alignment shows as being perfect.
I've recently replaced ball joints, tie rod ends and radius arms, so those should be good.

welcome to the story of my life, i went through 2 sets of toyos, thats when i changed my caster arms and bam. no more toe ....... mainly cus your toe is constantly being thrown out of spec if your caster is bad.

i can't really think of anything else that would cause that other than your caster being out of spec throwing your toe around like crazy. Please do show us your alignment printout.

i believe thats front for him
OP, does your car feel like its shaking (imagine you sprinting and coming to quick stop lol) from the front end coming to a stop? do you see your steering wheel shake on the freeway?

I'm going to find the alignment printout and post it tomorrow.
In the meantime, Mike is correct, this is effecting my front tires.
Yup, it shakes on the highway on occasion, but not always. Not sure if this helps, but when it rains heavily, water tends to accumulate on the inside of my wheels and I can't drive faster then right around 55 or my suspension feels like it is going to fall apart at any moment. I know it's the water causing an imbalance, but the shaking is pretty bad.

Tried my best to find my printout from the last alignment, but can't track it down.
I think this might be a good time to just upgrade all bushings to Daizen, which I was considering for a while now anyways.
Thanks a lot for the help and input.
By the way, Mike, are you on air?

nope, they were megans. are you lowered? if you are, best bet is your caster arms are going bad from dropping the car low. Best bet is indeed switch all the bushings out, from there you should not have toe issues anymore.

i've had the same issue with inner tire wear. I was lowered on eibachs and ltuned shocks with some 20's. tires ate out inside.
my bushings needed to be changed. I did all of em at once, front, rear, sways, etc. daizen.
solved my issues. but I also stepped down to 19's with a 265 rear and ful megan lp coils.

I've had the dreaded inner tire wear for awhile now. Lowered on 20's. Did the Daizen bushings awhile ago and still get the inner wear and steering wheel shakes. I picked up the SPC camber/caster control arm kit and I'm hoping this will solve my problems. I picked up the SPC rear camber kit as well. I'll let you guys know how it goes. I did have a slight bend on one of my front wheels that I had repaired. I'm hoping for the best as I am going even lower now.
If this fails, I guess I can also try the FIGS toe links. Inputs are appreciated.
