Sorry man this ones going back. Im sending it back as a defective part (SHHHHHH dont tell)My boy said he would take care of it for me. Luckily I know people in the biz, got pads ,rotors, and calipers brand new for well under 200 dollars. Working on cars all these years breathing dust and paint fumes has got to have some benefits, right?Originally Posted by sakataj
i'll buy that from you...i need some of the bolts out of it...mine go to powdercoating soon and 2 of my bolts are ruined
I'm LS400'd up!!! You can get around it, but it requires a bit of research...not too much. I think that others have run across the hole...it can be fixed.

Thanks! Good to be here. Mucho good info on this forum. Thats why I wanted to post this. The more info you have on something the better you can go about doing it. I got these parts extremely cheap because I know someone who works in a parts department, but for someone who paid retail price this could be a big loss for them. Besides I only found one other picture showing the damage that can occur. So basicly my advice to anyone choosing the grind method is to be careful and take your time. This mod requires patience. You must grind a little and then test fit the caliper to the knuckle to see if it bolts up, If it dont fit,,,,,, DO IT AGAIN,AND AGAIN,AND AGAIN,AND AGAIN, until it fits. Maybe I should go post some pictures of my car now?...................

Sucks to see that happened, but it sounds like you got it worked out, still post up some pics once you get it back together properly!
i had something similar happen, however the used set i bought, one of the caliper face's was ground down and thus when i tried to bleed the system, it sprung a leak. i ended up replacing that one with a core.

NO SIR ! Not complete yet. Just a set of pads,2 rotors and 1 caliper awaiting its brothers arrival from the west coast. Ive also decided to go with RCAs to avoid grinding things (btw Im the MD guy from the other "CL" Ill be in touch soon). And since Im doing all this I might as well upgrade to coilovers from the df210's ,,,,,Right ,,,,It just makes sense. so I have been scratching my head trying to decide on coilovers (megan or BC) for a few weeks now. Decisions decisions............. The plan is to do all these mods at one time.Originally Posted by PHML

Kind of boring for now ............but did you say pix??????
My car as it sits now chillin like a popsicle. Some MD folks might recognize the wheels

just let me know if you have any questions...I've done this mod myself...learned alot.
