Default sring rate switch on D2

Hows it goin CL. Im looking at lowering my gs and i want to keep my nice comfortable ride. Ive looked into the tein cs but they dont go low enough for me. I heard about taking the spring rate off of the tein cs and transfer it to the D2 36 way adjustables. Has anybody done this and if so how does the car ride. Any info will be much appreciated.
Thanks CL

The stock spring rate on the D2s relatively high. In most cases, the stock valving can withstand +/- 2kg/mm change in spring rate. Tein CS springs will be too soft for the D2 shocks, so I suggesting getting something else if you want a comfortable ride.

the problem is, when you go lower u need a stiffer spring rate.
or else ur car will bottom out like crazy over bumps and dips

We can do a custom set of BCR coilovers for you which would mimick a "Tein CS" setup but would alow you to drop the care much lower.

They will also be better quality than a set of D2s and the valving will be correctly matched, which you wouldnt get by just swapping springs onto a set of coils not matched for them,.

Feel free to shoot us sPM

Where in NC are you located? I was one of the first to do prototype testing for the D2 coilovers and eventually came up with my own custom spring rate and valving which is different from those that are offered to the general public through any of the D2's distributor. But if I was you, I would not take the springs off of the Teins and transfer them over to the D2's shock body because you simply do not know the proper valving and shock dyno graph to which it was built to. Just trust me on this, I've gone through alot of coilover development for D2 over the years.. Hit me up if you're in raleigh and I'll take you out for a ride in my setup and you can decide if you like them or not.
