ABS and VSC light on after upgrade, help!
I just had 1 inch lowering springs (Eibach Pro-kit) and new shocks installed in my 2000 Lexus GS400, with navigation system.
Now the ABS lights and VSC lights stay on! The store couldn't figure it out. They tried disabling the batteries for a while to reset the computer, but that didn't work. Does anyone know why this would happen? Is it due to the navigation system?
Any clues on how to fix this? Their advice was to drive around and maybe it would go away after a while. They were closing, so I just said thanks and I drove away. Thanks!

If I recall there are sensors for both ABS and VSC either on the brake calipers or connected/routed via suspension parts. So possibly during the install of shocks/coils the interface (eg. connectors, wiring, etc) to these features might have been (either) disconnected or loosened. Worth a look if the problem doesn't 'fix' itself.
Good Luck!

They may have damaged the cables to one or both speed sensors. They're right behind the shocks/springs by the sway bar. My TRD front sway bar was originally installed incorrectly and I ended up destroying 4 speed sensors . It was eventually fixed though.
Hope you get it fixed.

Problem solved!
So, the problem has been solved!
The shop couldn't figure it out, so I took it to the Lexus dealer, paid $85 for them to look at it. One of the sensors wasn't plugged in fully, so they just plugged it in. Problem went away!
Went back to the shop that did the original install, and they wrote me a check for $85. Guess the installer didn't really know what he was doing, he even looked at it the second time and couldn't figure out what was wrong.
Woohoo!

Bad install of shocks
I don't want to slander the shop, I believe it was just that one worker who worked on my car that didn't know what he was doing! The person I talked to seemed competent and willing to help me resolve the situation.
