Default Coilover Help!

So my next mod will be coilovers but i still cant decide which ones to go with.

I have heard good and bad things for every company that im looking at.
Ive looked at Megan LP, Tein SS, KW3 (wish it wasn't so $$), Buddy Club, and BC Racing.

I talked to Platinum VIP and they informed me about their own coilovers, has anyone heard anything about them or know someone who has them?

Can anyone please give me their input on these or which is my best bet.

Thanks. And pics would help too.

i doubt you'll get good comparitive advice, not unless the same owner drove their car on all of the coilovers you mentioned... expect alot of comments like
"Megan FTW!" lol...

I wouldn't go Megan because of the pillowball mounts trasfering noise. I have BC Racing but there's an annoying clunking noise that others also have.

If I could go back and do it all again, I would probably of spent the few extra bucks and got coilovers in the $1400-$1500 range.

What is this clunking noise? Do all coilovers have clunking noises?

Thanks for the help.

Does anyone have any input on the Tein SS coilovers?

Why are Megans to popular but have a bad ride?

I think the Tein SS would be too rough of a ride. My vote goes to Tanabe Sustec Pro 5 w/ TEAS.

I have the Tein SS coils and I think the ride is fine. Its 3 clicks from the stiffest setting too. But of course that's all subjective. As for any type of noise, no weird sounds to report

id eliminate Tein SS and KW from your list since the SS are a rough ride and the KW are more costly. I have BC racing and have had no issues. Some people say they are made by the same people who make megan and that the BC racing ones are somewhat of a higher end brand.

Default coilovers

I'm riding on Megamns and they ride pretty damm good. They are a tiny bit stiff but I'm also riding on 30 series tires. I'm pretty dumped too! Like the rear fender is 1/4" over the top of the tire. 275/30/19. So for the price, not bad at all!

I have found Megans to be priced in my price range and many members have them and say nothing but great things about them. I heard they also have the capability to go pretty low. I just wanted to see what it is that people say that it is a bumpy ride. I guess its a personal preference.

What would make it have a rough ride though??

Thats good, is the ride bumpy or noisy at all?
If you dont mind me asking, how much should expect to pay for them?

tanabe's are good IMO especially if you get it with the TEAS. priced pretty reasonably too. i would tell you to get the apexi coilovers but they're not released just yet :\
