Default Advice pls....

I’d like to drop my 250 on a set of Eibac pro kit springs (1.0 – 1.4 ) and would like to know if it’s necessary to change the stock shock’s or will they be fine with the new ride height? Also my IS is a base model with 16” wheels which I plan on replacing with a set of 18” s all around.
Thanks in advance.......... Edz

I don't think you need to change the stock shock, unless you want to spend $$ to get the F-Sport shocks, and install them at the same time.
I know some members just change their stock springs only. post some pics when you are done.

it won't be necessary to change your shocks.

I didnt change my shocks at first when i was dropped on eibach pro kit. it doesnt bother some people but it SURE bothered me! i say either slap those shocks on, or just put in a little more and get some coilovers.

if your gunna buy shocks to, get coils, but mine were and are perfect, they are actually on their way to ohio, so a fellow member may use them.

When you say “bother” I’m assuming it’s related to ride comfort ??
Thanks....... Edz

yes, the shocks will wear out later on, but going w/ lowering springs won't lead to premature shock failure as soon as you are suggesting.

as f-sport springs can be used with oem shocks without any issues, and f-sport springs are rebadged eibach pro-kit springs...

come to your own conclusion.
