Default Brake kits

There are several, most have opted for the Supra Twin Turbo brake upgrade. The Rod Millen kit is the same except for the fancy shmancy RM logo airbrushed on.

Others available are Brembo (pretty much an industry standard for perf. brakes) Or if you want to go completely hardcore you get the BAER/ALCON or AP 6 piston Caliper racing setup. Seek and you shall find the answers as well as some pics in older threads.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eb...&r=0&t=0......

Just curious but do these rotors seem shady? They seem like a good price but was wondering if anyone had any info on parts such as this. I mean I'd love to splurge and get the $2k Brembo set but I don't think I can afford that at the moment. The stock brakes are great but is this worth it for looks? Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you are looking to replace only your rotors, I would try KVR Performance. www.kvrperformance.com I am currently running their brake pads which I have found to be pretty damn good!

I may upgrade from TRD pads/rotors (3 months) to SupraTT calipers/impluse brake lines/brembo rotors this summer. If you are interested in just pads and rotors and willing to wait, let me know. Just PM me.

Yep...that is what it is...braking performance is awesome...when I switch from my SC400 to the GS430, I swear I almost put myself through the windshield at the first stop! Then when I switch back to the SC400, it feels like I have NO brakes!

I need to upgrade the SC400 REAL SOON...but I need the damn wheels first!

manaray,

Are you going to put the same beefy hardware on your SC? Dose the SC400's performance merit such big brakes?

On the SC4, I am only going to do a Supra TT brake package...it should be good enough...but if it doesn't cut it, I might move up to the 13" Brembo Package...we'll see...

MRGS400nSoCali - Check yer PM

I just can't say enough about the AP package...it's VERY impressive in terms of performance...when you have Porsche Turbo TRACK RACERS complimenting it's braking capabilities in my GS, that's saying something!

Can I still use the stock brake lines if I upgrade to SupraTT calipers with bigger rotors and pads?

Why would you want to? I would definitely get steel braided lines!
