I have eibachs, and i love them...they are the perfect ride that i want. im also rolling on 20's....not bad of a ride at all..a little stiffer, but handles 10 times better!!! If you get the 18's youll probably change to 19's or 20's eventually, so why not throw them on now...save some money!!

here is a pic of my car on 18's and an L-tuned drop. This suspension is probably your best bet for a comfy ride and a drop. Everything else is ruffer

L-Tuned is a spring and shock combo, they are not adjustable like coilovers though, but they will drop the car 1 1/4"

I think if you go with coilovers, the ride will be stiffer than just going with springs.

I have L-sportline with 20's and HI98GS has teins with 19's. Between the two of us, his ride is stiffer than mine...

If your looking for comfort, go with springs....
If your looking for handling (more agressive suspension) go with coilovers...

Aloha

Seems like we've got a load of threads going on about this...

L-Tuned springs/shocks should be about $500 from Steve Ganz and install for me at my dealer was $440 including alignment. Some places will install for less (take your chances) and some dealers may charge more.

I love my L-Tuned. If you want even more handling abilities, you can always add sways and braces later like I did. I can outhandle most things on the road.

Default Lowering

I have the same question about lowering my car. I'm definitely going with 18" rims and not any bigger, so my questions are:

1. Is there a spring / shock combo from L-tuned that will lower the car, but keep the ride comfort the same as stock ( My RX-7 provides a stiff enough ride )

2. Is there any warranty issues from the dealer with lowering it?

Thanks..

1. I found no loss of comfort with L-Tuned... some say there is a loss, I don't think so, only a loss of the float.

2. Not with L-Tuned, they're sold by Lexus.

Thanks again,

(You really need to use the search.)

I think it was just over an inch in front and right around an inch in back.

There's no model number, just L-Tuned springs/shocks. Check www.l-tunedparts.com, Steve Ganz's web site.

I have eibach pros with bilstein shocks. L-Tune and Eibach are pretty much the same and I think the bilstein are just a little stiffer that l-tune shocks. My ride is still very smooth and I am running 19 inch wheels. It is a lot stiffer too. The ride is more sportier. I would like to lower the car perhaps 1 more inch to make the wheels look a little more flush, but other than that, it looks a lot better and handles a lot better.
