Default Diagnosis - Problem?

I need some help.

When I reverse the car, I hear a small, one-time clunk coming from one of the rear wheels.

When I drive low speeds, I hear a soft but repetitive click (with the wheel rotation). When I drive faster (say 30-40 mph) the sound disappears.

What do you think this might be? Any chance this is a brake shim problem?

Thanks

My 98 GS 400 does the same thing, the mechanics looked at it and said they didnt know what it was. My ball joints have been replaced and everything, still unsure what it is or how to stop it.

The one-time clack during reversal happens to many disk brake vehicles and is normal. It's just the pads rotating and hitting the stop on the opposite side. You could add a spacer to eliminate the gap between pad stops, but it's harmless, so why bother.
