Default Power Steering Boost

I was wondering if there was any way to reduce the boost on the power steering. I want to have the steering feel a little heavier with increased road feel. I already replaced the steering rack bushings but still would like to have less boost on the power steering.

Go get an alignment. Tell them you want the most caster possible.

would more caster give heavier steering? wouldnt that give uneven or strange tire wear since the tires are at a strange angle?

Just get rid of it, if you want to feel the road. It's good for the shoulder muscles as well.

i would still like power steering, just with heavier feel. i thought just having less boost would do it. is there a simple way to adjust boost?

unplug the speed-sensing sensor on the power steering rack.

it activates the progressive power steering, it will not assist in steering at low speeds.

get the SS power steering line from LuxuryMods. it will take the power assist off and creates quicker response.

He has SC400. Will that power steering line still work?

I would just suggest unplugging the connector from the rack and pinion unit.

It's a two wire connector and the only one attach to the rack. It will firm up low speed for sure. 40mph and less.

Your thinking of Camber,

-Toe is the tire pointed in or out looking from the top
-Camber is the tire leaning in or out from the front
-Caster is the distance from the center of the tire to the point that the tire rotates upon. Think of it as moving the tire further towards the back of the car.

Increasing caster will increase the effort required to turn the wheel, And also make the wheel snap back to center faster. There is no tire wear associated with increasing caster, just steering effort. So i like to run as much as possible, especially if you are going to drift because you can get that opposite lock going faster

BTW, does anyone know if the Supra rack swaps in? I believe it has a faster ratio.
