Queston: DIY coilover or lowering spring Install
Which is easier? Coilovers or lowering spring installation? From what I've read they are both about the same except lowering springs have to be compressed. I've never done either.... What are your opion's on the difficulty involed in installing them yourself? I'm not a mechanic and I've hadn't had any problems with installing my exhaust or any other regular maintenance to my car. Should I attempt it myself or pay $$$$$ an hour for someone else to do it?
I haven't done it but I've seen some guides and it looks pretty straight forward. You still have to compress the spring for the coilovers anyway cuz you gotta use the stock bump stop(I think).
Guess it was late when I posted this thread.. Apparently Crown impairs my spelling,lol.. I've heard some horror stories about compressing springs. Do you have to compress the front springs to get the oem shocks out? If not then the install seems pretty straight forward. Just need a jack, jack stands, panel remover for the trunk, torque wrench, pry bar, metric socket wrench, WD-40. Am I missing anything?
