Default Who installed Lowering springs/coilovers them self?

I just got my F sport springs shipped to me today. I was going to have a Lexus dealership install the springs for me but I'm not sure if they will install a customer part. Beside that they might charge an arm and a leg. Anyone recommend a DIY on this? I've done Integra and Civic in the past but never a Lexus.

If you have experience doing spring installs then you'll be fine. I say go for it and save yourself some money!

If you've done them on a Civic, then there's NO difference. The hardest part will be removing the trunk liner to access the rear shock tower bolts.

DIY it's simple. Did it myself. There's a link to a DIY, but too lazy to look for it right now. That and I have the stomach flu so I'm kinda busy at the moment

Just do it yourself. Took me longer to actually adjust the coilovers to the perfect ride height than what it took me to install them. ha ha

I would sometimes time myself on how fast I can do it. I've done all 4 corners in an hour 34 mins start to end.

I DIY with my H&R Springs on my IS250 based on this amazing guide:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sus...our-isx50.html

keep in mind, i have never undertaken a project like this before, and i am by no means a mechanic, and i did it myself.... however! it was fairly difficult for me. if you have the right tools and have experience with this kind of stuff, then you will be fine. the trunk cover is fairly easy to remove, that is the easy part. getting the control arm down to get the spring in and out is the hard part. Good luck, and make sure to PM me if you have any trouble, since I was a newb to the process and was successful, I can be more detailed on the do's and dont's, it was quite a learning experience.

done differently: had a pipe wrench from the start, wished I had a better jack, wished i disconnected my abs chord from my brake before i ripped it off accidentally with my crowbar, wished i didnt take off the upper bolt (with the ball bearing) of the upper control arm for the front wheels. other than that, it was pretty straightforward.

fyi, if you do not have a nice big hydraulic jack, make sure you have at least 2 floor jacks, you will need 1 to lift your car, and one to take the pressure off the control arms when tryin to get the bolts out. also, do not hammer any bolts on the threaded ends too hard, you do not want to mess up any threading, otherwise you're gonna have a bad time.
