Suspension Setup
Need some advise on a suspension setup, i just bought 19" carlsson's, and i need to now buy spring/shocks. what do you all think i should get? Where i live, the roads suck, we have snow, 5-6 months of the year, and i would like some comfort, but a hot look, so not too much wheel gap.
my choices are as follows;
1) full l-tuned setup
2) eibach/blisten
3) h&r/blisten
4) tein ha
5) others?

a very weird combo... you live in a place where road sucks... yet you have a 19" rims.. you must drive like my grandpa.. slow.. slow.. slow.. trying to avoid pot holes..
anyway.. enough of that... Tein HA all the way... Adjustable firmness.. that is the key..

If money not a problem, go with the TEIN's. The best of the choices. However, being able to modify your suspension while keeping under warranty is sweet. Go with the L-tuned package!

Just proving a point
At age 25, i am the only guy in the city with a gs400, all the others in the city, are owned by guys twice my age! Everyone thinks this is my dad's ride, i gotta represent.....hence the drop, and 19's......no mistake then, ain't nobody gonna think that no more.
Plus, it will look so HOT.

If you want to maintain a supple ride, the Tein HA's are a BAD choice. Even though the dampening is adjustable, they're just not "smooth"...the Tein CS's are a better choice (if you want to stay with Tein). Otherwise, I would recommend the APEX WS, the JIC SF-1 or FLT-2. HKS HiperMax II, or the H&R Stage-4 systems as they are "smoother" than the Tein HA's...if you want to go the coilover route (which is what I'd do).
Don't buy into the "dampening adjustment" hype. It's not going to make the ride go from stock to race track...your 19" wheels/tires will be the biggest detrimental factor in ride comfort.

Although I voted for LTuned, not sure if they are "the best"; each setup has thier own positive attributes, but I think I know what you're asking...
Easy decision for me, since it was a Toyo/Lexus product & Toyo/Lexus install (read: no dealer issues), I had ridden in a very similar suspension setup (eibach) and liked it, price from SG was kick butt, and didn't want anything too radical. *Ltuned* - the clear winner.

I am mostly for comfort, but I like a more lower stance than L-tuned. I will be getting Apex WS (when money comes), thanks to Manaray's comments on that setup. It's cheaper and Apex is a pretty good brand.
About the dampening adjustments, I have an integra that had adjustable shocks, I adjusted the shocks 2 or 3 times at the most, but after then, no changes, so the next set of shocks I got were just the cheaper tokicos with no adjustment, and it does the job well.

I have the HA's and love them. While my 3+ inch drop is extreme, the car rides fine and handles great with a 5/5 setting...
The wheel size does play a huge factor - I know once I slap 20's on I will feel the difference...
