92-96 vs. 97-00 strut
i searched and didnt find much on this but i called the dealer and asked how much front struts were ....92-96 each one calls for like $230...and 97-00 front struts call for like $61 each . i was wondering if the struts are physically different? will the 97 strut fit on the older models? i think the struts prolly the same but the internal valving was changed but idk jus guessing . anyways let me kno . thanks
first of all...we have shocks. no struts.
the weight of the car over the years has not increased enough to constitute revalving of the shocks.
all years are forwards and backwards compatible and will mount up just fine.

Yea fitment wise the shocks are interchangeable. Like you said the internal valving may be softer on the 97-00. Maybe they used a different manufacturer for them so they got them that much cheaper lol.
i was just going to get some monroe shocks from sears since it's like free installation or sumtin...anyone know if there good? or should i go and order OEM ones? i only have drops springs on...
Peace out
