Get whichever one is cheaper. Honestly, these braces dont do much. It's practically extra weight to carry around.

THey are not the same. TRD fits in the exact points as the stock OEM LCB. THe Toms one has 2 extra bars that connect to the front.

IN this case Toms technically would be better but only in connection with more suspension bars.

TOms worked hard to ensure their complete system works together.

What is the part number for the TRD front strut brace for our 2nd gen. GS's? Sewell doesn't list this part on their site, but I figure if I have a part number they should be able to get it.

I just saw that Carson still sells it. I suppose I'll buy it from them.

Can I have it?

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/2ge...sis-brace.html

The extra braces are why I want Tom's > TRD. Will Tom's clear the 400 trans or does it hit like the TRD?

You may need to throw a couple of washers under 2 of the mounting points to clear the tranny. The tolerances are tight, so the clearance is going to vary car to car.

It is very difficult to see the improvement by adding one brace at a time, but if you went from no braces to full front upper/ lower braces, rear upper/lower braces and the 6 point rear braces, you will feel the difference, especially when encountering non-level surfaces through a high speed turn (i.e. winding mountain roads). The car will feel firm and more in control and not loosey goosey, especially the rear end.

Personaly, I did TRD sways, then Tom's 4 link (Blitz exhaust), then HKS coilovers, and just did upper strut bars. So far, I have noticed a difference with each addition and loved every one.
