I recently purchased them from a CL member... The ride quality is not stock but very very comfy I am actually some what impressed with it. From researching other TEIN brand the SS was not mentioned to give that much of comfy ride but, my experience with it has been fantastic so far as I was so reluctant is losing the ride quality.

tein coilovers as far as ride comfort go as follows, starting from stiffest and then going to softest:
HA, Flex, SS, CS, CSv2
HKS hipermax fit in somewhere between SS and CS from what i can tell from other members opinions.
HA and Flex are comparable to Bilstein PSS which have a very stiff sporty ride, not considered comfortable.
Ultimate one, JIC's are supposedly able to slam your ride the most AND offer a very comfy ride, but cost around 2g's, IF you can get your hands on them.

I too have SS and like lowKut said, it's not oem, but I did get a better steering response and a lot less body roll but not as comfy over rough roads.
EDFC is great, damping control at your finger tips.

Just installed my SS this weekend and love them! I was riding at 10 clicks from stiffest and thought it was comfortable enough for daily driving. Softest setting is about perfect for me as I live in the midwest and the 40 degree temp swings cause really nasty potholes and swelling of road seams. It really does depend ALOT on your wheel/tire setup too.
