IMO...i wouldn't risk it for that price $1300 tanabe or tien coilovers both have a pretty good history to them for being good products and both are very adjustable

I like the fact they are a fully threaded type coil over. Unlike some coil overs you wont be changing the preload when adjusting your height.
Though the spring looks slightly stiffer than compared to teins or HKS.

Old thread revival.....
I would take solace in the fact they are made in Japan for a start, and to ISO9001 accreditation.
Chances are these are off-the-shelf units tweaked in spring rates and/or valving for the damping and rebound adjustment.
A highly recognised brand name infers nothing more than successful marketing - whether the product associated is good, bad, or indifferent.
It doesn't mean another company hasn't pulled their products apart and thought of a different/better way of doing the same thing, or simply copied it.
If they were of some interest, you could always contact them, and ask what R&D time was spent at arriving with the final design, and why they're better/cheaper than the big brand name ones.
You'd know from the response whether they were nothing more than rebadged OEM units or a bit of effort was put into testing to get the optimum overall performance from them.
