Default Erratic steering question, im stumped

Ihave a 96 SC300 w/ 140k on the clock. All stock with no mods what-so-ever. My problem is the alignment. When making a right turn then making the car go straight, the car pulls left and the steering wheel is crooked to the right about a quarter turn.

Here's the weird part, when making left turns, my alignment is straight and steering wheel is level. Any input guys?

Try the rack bushings first since they are cheaper, then get an alignment. If problem is still there, look into the front lower control arm/bushings.

check the tie rods and ball joints too

hell just check up on the entire front end. The Bushings will help but may or may not solve the problem. Do you have easy access to an alignment rack?

Actually this problem plagues the sc .Ive owned 4 of them, some with low miles some with high miles. They were all worn out . Steering rack bushing first and then the front lower and the rear upper. The newest sc is 10 years old now which imo is not a new car. The bushings in these cars are soft which makes it less durable but it does provide a smooth ride. If you can tell me why he needs to replace tie rods and the balljoint i would love to know why.

also, would it be cheaper if i just swapped out the whole control arms as opposed to just changing out the bushings? If i order new arms, it comes with bushings no? sorry for the questions...

If the front lcas have never been replaced I would suggest replacing the whole arm since they have 140k on them already. You also get new balljoints with the lca so you don't have to worry about them down the line. The 93-96supra front lcas are a cheaper option and bolt right on. Only difference may be the stiffer bushing material.
