Default Factory Suspension Problem

I have noticed lately that the WHOLE left side is leaning. I took measurements, and sure enough the right side of the car is higher than the left. What can do this? I'm a 200lb guy, and the car has 19,000 miles on it.

Can a few of you with stock non sport suspensions with miles check the ride height left vs. right side please and report back. This bothers me.

SS can go lower, CS ride a little smoother due to softer springs.

My car is off 1/4 inch. I have been considering removing the bottom spring cushing to lessen the preload. I think this would probaly level it out, but I am concerned with noise if I do this. I know of some suspensions the ride metal to metal and there is no noise, but I am sure that is how they are desinged. I have not heard anyone have any kind of fix for this. I am going to take it to the dealership again and see if they can fix it when I get some time.

I've measured mine, and I'm higher by about 0.5" on the passenger side. I'm about to take care of this issue once and for all with Tein CS coilovers.

this will happen with stock springs or with aftermarket springs. Its caused by the chronic asymmetry in the weight distribution of the vehicle created by the weight of the driver . I am at a cross roads. I have a set of tein h techs on my car that I can swap of tein cs coilovers or just have a local shop swap the springs righ to left. If you have the springs swapped you will get the perfectly even ride height . What I am hearing now is that coilovers need to be rebuilt every 40-50k miles. Stock parts will absolutely last longer than that even with an aftermarket spring. Youre stuck between a rock and a hard place

It isn't caused by the weight of the driver. The IS leans all by itself.

Some do. Some don't. Mine is one of the latter.

hmmm... i have these shims on my subaru. they are 1/4" and are basically strut spacers that are placed btwn the pillowball and chassis. i bet if there was an application for the IS, you could put a pair on the left side struts and problem solved.

Hmm, those would work if you could find a way to get longer studs for the tops of the struts. I don't think there is a 1/4 inch to give with the OEM studs.
