Default serious suspension problem?

Last year I put on some 20" inch rims on my 2000 GS400. It rode fine till maybe about this summer it started feeling real funny on the road. It tends to pull to the right and when I stop i hear a funny noise like a popping sound. Also when i go over a slight bump I hear a rattling from the rear. I'm figuring that my suspension is done and neesd to be replaced ASAP. Any suggestions? I have no clue as to what to replace or even where to go to get it done. The dealer looked at the right side and quoted me Like $2000 for the right side alone..has to be a less expensive way. Please help..

Ask the dealer what needs to be replaced because I wouldn't spend $2000 not know what's going to be fixed.

How many miles on your car??....maybe its time to have your ball joints/tie rods replaced.....before I lowered and put 20in wheels on my car I replaced the ball joints/tie rods, because of the added weight the wheels will add..

Online stores havr the lower control arms etc for cheap(check the site sponsors ).. take it to a mechanic and have them look and tell you what parts are shot ..popping can be the lowerball joints, the rattling in the year is prolly an end link...

The dealer didnt give you a detailed quote?8a list of what needs replacing and how much labor each part needs to get done??? what kinda dealer is that???

I find it a bit funny that they quoted such a high amount and not have a detailed list.
