Default Eibach Springs

What do you guys think of Eibach springs. How is the drop on them. They say it lowers 1 inch. Is that enough to get rid of the wheel well gap. I think I have like two inches right now. I know the Ltune springs lower it 1.4. Do any of you use Eibach. I don't really want to have to cut the spring. I found a site that sells them for 240. Do any have a pic of a GS300 with Eibachs installed?

Thanks

I hope you don't cut your springs!!! I'm currently running w\L-tuned springs & struts the car dropped a little over an inch. I read that intrax drops to about 1.75 inches. What size wheels are you going to use????

mc,

please do not, and i repeat, DO NOT cut springs...not on the GS.. eibach and l-tuned have almost identical drop..the gap is still there(not as much s stock), if you want more, consider H&Rs....

I've got Eibach's on my GS400, pic attached below. I've got some better ones at home showing the drop (on road now).

Ltuned look to have about the same drop as the Eibach's when I've compared side-by-side.

Thumbs up Eibachs

MC - The Eibach's will give ya a drop of about 1.25" & the ride will be slightly firmer than factory. The L-Tuned might give ya a softer ride compared to the Eibachs but I'm not sure. Whatever U do - DON'T cut the springs!! Not only will U sacrifice ride quality but U may compromise the suspension geometry.

First do not cut your springs just a bad idea plus one day you may need to take the car back to stock to sell it.

Next if you are interested in a drop greater than Eibachs, L-tuned, H&R, then the Blitz springs are for you . The Blitz springs will provide you with about a 2.0" to a 2.5" drop. I currently have these springs on my car and think that they give the car a very aggresive stance. These springs will be up for sale soon. I have made a deal with platinumgs4 for his Tein HA coilovers and UGO strut bars so should our deal go through then my Blitz springs are for sale. If not I would gladly keep these springs because they are excellant springs IMHO!

Also, when you upgrade your springs upgrade your shocks at the same time....I had to learn that little bit of advice the hard way....just do it you will thank me later.

thanks everyone for the info. I think I am going to go to Carson Toyota and get the LTune springs and shocks from Steve. I have no intentions of cutting the springs .
GScorpion, thanks for the offer. I think 2.0-2.5 might be a little too low for me. I am going to take you advice about the shocks and do everything at once.
DaveGS4, nice car, I like the look...
