Default intrax or eibach

intrax springs drop 1.75"

eibach drop 1.00"

both are progressive springs...

does anyone know if the intrax springs are any good ??
they cost even a little less then the eibach, but what a nice drop.
If the shocks can hold it.....would be a good deal I suppose.

anyone experienced this springs ??

yezzzzzzzz

Default Springs

Blue Wax,

The Eibachs are a 1.25" drop and in my opinion, the ride quality is far better than with the Intrax. The Intrax springs are a bit stiffer and for me, the added stiffness was not acceptable for just .5" extra drop. Also, the car did not measure at 1.75" drop as claimed. I only had the Intrax in the car for 2 months, so I can't verify any of the other complaints about Intrax. Manaray and a few others here have talked about the Intrax springs sagging. I would spend some extra money and get the Eibachs if ride quality is important to you.

I agree with Link13. I was in the same situation as you.....Eibachs or Intrax. I asked a couple of (after-market accessories) car shops around my area and everyone recommended the Eibachs over the Intrax. Here's another clue for you, I remember reading some members in CL calling the Intrax, "Intrash".

I've had the Eibachs (+ KYB struts) now for about 2 years. The only complaint that I have is that the gap is still too big. The ride is decent but not too rough. I'm thinking now of getting some coilovers to lower the car more and to improve the overall handling.

BW,
I went with the Eibach's and quite please with the ride except for the wheel gap. Keep in mind if your considering a body kit the e's are better as far as clearance. Here's a pic of my geees300.

I'm running stock shocks for now but may consider aftermarket later on. Your 1st gen is looking good my man! There's nothing like making your car special with your own sweat...keep that wallet open.
