Default Tein CS v1

Guys what are some of the things i should look for to see if my Tein CS are going bad? Recently i noticed some squeeky sound coming from the rear. and also i hear the squeeky noise when i open up the trunk and push the car up and down. So far the car drives normal as the first day i installed my tein CS. Your help is greatly appreciated it. If there's something wrong on my suspension i want to get it fix right away before is starts raining more and harder.

Thanks

it's most likely not your tein cs... i have the same issue and the tein cs and i have the squeek too. i thought i had an issue but then my dad's gs had the same issue and his is completely stock.

don't tear out your suspension just yet!

It might be your dust shield. The old design which was made of plastic is a notorious noise maker. The plastic shield will start squeaking once the smooth plastic gets worn down by the spring wearing on it. The newer design is a boot and is made out of rubber and doesn't come in contact with the springs. I'm 90% sure that the worn boot's are your problem. I think the revised dust boots were added in just within this year or so. If you're suspension is older than that, then it's most likely that you have the old version plastic dust shields.

Actually, what I posted about the dust boots only applies to the Tein lineup of coilovers (Flex & CSv1 for sure). I don't know about the other brands
