Default brake pads?

move this to the correct area if need be,

anyone know where i can get upgraded brake pads, like axxis or something. I cannot stand the amount of dust the stock pads put out.

any and all suggestions welcome.

The reason why you haven't received a response is because no one in this forum has tried aftermarket pads. I see part #s from EBC but no one has them in stock. Also, people are hesitant to be the first one to try them. I'm looking for less dusty pads too but will wait until someone reports the performance.

When you say "upgraded" pads, I think of higher performance pads, which would probably dust WORSE. I would like to find a lower performance pad. Maybe the brake pad manufacturers should offer a free set or two for someone on the board to try them out ... hint ... hint.

I know 250 and 350 have different braking system. How about the pads? Are they also different? I only could find the brake pads for 350....

I had axxis ultimates on my accord V6, and have the axxis deluxe on my scion Tc, both pads do not give off half the amount of dust the stock IS pads on the lexus do, (tc had the same problem, alot of dust) all im looking for is less dust.

One thing i liked (and it sounds strange) is the grinding sound the ultimates on my accord made when stopping, you could deffinatly feel them bite into the rotor when stopping. A bit overkill for normal driving, i would be happy with the deluxe pads, or whatever gives off less dust. Its annoying.

http://www.ebcbrakes.com/ You can ask for Andy.

Look for EBC Redstuff. That is what is reccommended for the 2IS. It is ceramic, which is the reason why most people are hesitant to use it. Someone posted they had EBC pads and it ate their rotors. I don't know if the Redstuff will do the same.

Part #s:
Front DP31772C
Rear DP31586C

If you decide to go with these, let us know how you like them.

After reading about the Red Stuff pads, they don't really sound like what I'm looking for. They are supposed to produce less dust, but I suspect that they do this at the rotor's expense since they are still a higher performance pad. I actually want a LOWER performance pad.
