Default Tein CS vs Flex

I just ordered my Tein Flex's and EDFC. I really was thinking about the CS's instead of the Flex to keep comfort down, but the specs for the Flex seemed better all around than the CS's.

I did a search and didn't find this question discussed before. Should I have ordered the CS's or are the Flex's the way to go and why?

Please post opinions. Would love to hear from people that have either one and their experiences.

Thanks in advance.

If you are looking for comfort, then from what I have read and been told is that the CS is more comfortable ride than the flex. The Flex has more adjustability though so you can go lower. I have the CS and cant complain about ride quality

My bad. That was a very informative thread. I think I'm going to stick with the Flexs for now. I like to run it a little hard sometimes AND I have a lot of added weight in the rear (stereo). Sooo, I guess the Flex it is.

Thanks for the link. It was very helpful. Maybe I will be able to help someone later when they ask the same question I did.

Dr. G.....I forgot all about that. I'll have to hook up with you soon.

For mei think the only way to go is CS... But i guess some people drive their GS's hard and want it to ride stiffer...

I had Flex's and thought they were to stiff for the GS... Got to ride in LexusonDubs' car and let me tell you... the CS rides sooo smooth.

But maybe the flex will be good for you...

haha no problem man, i was just hoking

yeah it's all about what you need. flex definitely makes the car feels flatter, but it's a bit noisier and it's still not soft enough for me. now it's all good with the cs, but then again i am an old man

I have the Flex with EDFC and absolutely love it!

The only time I have an issue with the Flex is when going over our some of our very badly damaged frost fractured city streets. Then it's too hard. Otherwise, it meets my needs perfectly!

Jaime, congrats on going to coilovers - you're going to be in heaven, trust me.

The Flex make a bit more noise over bumps than the CS because of the metal pillow mounts (Flex) vs. the rubber ones (CS).

Besides the additional noise (which doens't bother me at all), the comfort of the Flex still amazes me. If I want comfy highway cruising, I set EDFC to 14/16 and it's really quite comfortable - even Jane notices how much nicer it is than the L-Tuned was or how much nicer it is than the firmer settings I have.

The other day though we were on a road that's a bit bouncy (undulating) and the 14/16 was a bit too floaty, so I just hit the middle preset and went to 06/08 and it's perfect again (float's gone).

Now at the Dragon I go 0/0 all the way.
