EIbach springs ride quality???
Hey, I am thinking about getting some 19" rims and selling the 20's and then lowering the car with Eibachs. I was wondering how much the ride suffers from lowering. Also will the car be fine on the stock shocks or do they need to be swapped? Last question is how much does the Eibach kit drop the car?
Thanks

Eibachs are a bit stiffer than L-tuned but IMO not overly so... I know a couple of members who thought they are too stiff, but the majority like them.
I would definitely recommend changing the stock shocks at the same time.

What kind of shocks do you reccomend? Does this help eliminate the bounce that lowering springs can often create? Does anyone know anything about the Tien springs? Does any of these springs help the car launch faster?
Thanks alot for the responses.

Eibachs were my first suspension upgrade on my GS. The ride quality is comparable to the stock ride, only slightly harsher. But it was night and day when I upgraded to the Tein CS setup I have now. The car handles better with the teins and I think the ride quality is as good as the eibachs, so it is worth it to go with coilovers just for the better handling and ability to adjust the height to whatever YOU want. I have also heard that the HKS coilovers have a very nice ride.
I've got the Eibach / Bilstein Sport combo. At first, I thought the ride was acceptable. After a year or so on this setup, I'm unsatisfied with the ride quality / harshness over bumps. In my opinion, the Bilstein Sports contribute most significantly to the harsh ride.
I'm switching over to new L-tuned springs and shocks this week and will deliver a full analysis on the differences between the two setups.

My car has stock shocks & Eibach 30MM springs.
Once they bed in, the car really sticks to the road compared to before. It takes some time for the bedding in, going to the racetrack works very well for this process.
On big bumps, the suspension is a little harsher, but over small bumps/normal road surface it's cool. The difference isn't too bad, but with 19s or 20s the ride quality will suffer more.
