Default EDFC questions

I just got my Tein CS w/ EDFC installed yesterday. I Love It.
But i got a question about the EDFC.

Does it turn back on automatically when you start the car & goto the preset you had it on?

Reason i'm asking is because after i start the car, i have to power up the unit myself.
I also lose all the preset.

Another thing is while the car is still on, I save the presets. I then power off then power on the unit. I still dont have the presets saved

What i'm guessing is that the installer didnt wire it up correctly & only tapped the constant & remote to the Acc wire. But shouldnt it still be able to store the memory until i shut off the car?

sounds like one of the power lines are done incorrectly, and not connect to a always one source?

Sounds like the 12V battery wire didn't get connected to a 12V battery source. When you turn on the car the EDFC should also come on and have its preset settings in there stored.

Only when you disconnect the battery or remove the plug off the EDFC is when you loose your settings and you have to manually press the power button to come on.

thanks for the reply guys. Yea, i knew they wired it up wrong. I was just wondering how the edfc operates on normal condition.

I'll have to search for the wires and redo the power since i dont think i'll be bringing it back to the installer to have them fix it. (dont want to wait like 5 hours again)

Default Wire Problem

I think the installer wired the red wire, the one with the fuse, to constant power and the yellow to the ACC wire. I just installed my edfc over the weekend and I was assuming the constant power wire was red but after referring back to instruction manual the yellow should be connected to constant power and the red one to ACC. Kind of confussing since I though constant power line should have the fuse.

thanks lex2go. Since the wires are color coded that way, most likely it was a mixup.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll pull out the wires tomorrow to double check.
