Question

Hey guys, just a quick question. How come HSK And Eibach sway bars are thicker in the front? Wouldn't that cause more understeering? I just check the Eiback web site and their spec for IS sway bars are as follows.
ANTI-ROLL-KIT 28 mm Front  17 mm Rear  , Rear Bar is Adjustable. Are the TRD and CUSCO sway bar the same? Thankx

I haven't seen the CUSCO parts but the stock bars are thicker front than rear as are the TRD race bars. I put the TRD race sways on mine and really like the results. A full coilover (with appropriate spring rates) would be a better solution, but bang-for-the-buck this is an absolute winner.

I dont think it would create that much more understeer because you are also making the rear sway stiffer so I think it will balance out... The CUSCO Sways are the same way.. and as TSoich metioned the stock ones are like that too.

I have the TRD race sway bars on the car and the car did receive more understeer as a result of the mod.

Since both bars are being made "stiffer", the handling in the front and back improve. If anything, the car became a little more neutral in handling.

Question one: Several days ago, my left rear rotor started to grind...no warning light on pad failure...does the 2001 Is300 not have warning lights for brakes?

Question 2: When on the lift for brake pads, the rear sway was found to be broken in half. Is this a Lexus factory part or an L-tune aftermarket feature?
