Default TRD Upper Front STB Help!!

I just installed a TRD Upper Front STB in my GS300 and the problem I've come to is that the bar is touching the top part of the engine so after a while it's melting the hose and making a big vibration which makes the whole car shake at idle or low rpm. Anyone who knows what I could do to fix this please help!!!!!

Thanks!

I assume your engine cover is off already. Besides removing the TRD bar....you can try raising it with the black O-ring bracket.

O-ring brackets did help to raise about 3-5mm, but not enough. Only way I can think of next is to grind the TRD sway or raise it more with additional brackets.... ??? Not too sure yet, but.......

FYI, the TRD bar wasn't designed to fit the 300

Great... But the engine bay is pretty similar no? I was told that it would fit plus it came off a gs4.

GS300 engine sits taller than the V8. You might try more spacers to raise it up - don't know if it will work though. I'm surprised it touches the engine. Is it hitting the engine itself, or just the engine cover? If it's just the cover, take it off.

Oh. I put two of the stock "o" rings on each side and re-did the hose with a different clamp. The stb is touching the vacumm hose that is on top of the engine. What happens I think is the metal part of the outlet keeps hitting the stb then eventually it'll cut the hose. We'll have to see if my new mod for it worked or not.

Well, the engine bay is the same but the engine sits differently. The TRD bar WILL git the GS4 but is not meant for the GS3. Of courde if you really want to make it work, you can try custom opstions like the spacers mentioned. I don't like to use spacers but that's just me. One of the problems in this case is that you can only raise it so much before the bar hits the hood. Good luck.
