Hi all, a friend of mine was recently involved in a car accident in Atlanta but due to his work schedule and him living in North Carolina, he is not able to be present at his court date. Therefore, I'm here to ask for a good lawyer if you know of any. Thanks.
Alex, have him call the court for a continuance. Given his circumstances, it might be worthwhile.
Also, what is the nature of the accident? Was he at fault? Does he want to protest the ticket (if applicable)?
I ask because it might be cheaper to pay the fine (if he was at fault and was ticketed) than hiring a lawyer. If he wasn't at fault, then he might want to call his insurance company and see if they can find him an attorney. They might even pay for it, and send the bill to the other insurance company.
Good Luck.
