Default Annoying pop ups from anyclip.com

Is anyone else getting these annoying popups from anyclip.com when you are on CL. Even when you kill it/hit the x it just comes back, really annoying, don't know if I have a virus on not. They are Lexus car related, my Firefox just updated so not sure if some kind of ad blocker got turned off.

Running Chrome here. With or without AdBlock turned on, I don't get anything like that.

It's really annoying and aggressive, it is only doing it on CL with Lexus ads that you can't just kill, you click the x and then a big ad comes right up you can't kill, the site does say it collects your information/data. It may go away if I log in but I shouldn't have to log in in order not to get bombarded with aggressive annoying popups. Might be something for CL to check into, I ran virus scans and my ad blocker is turned on, still comes up.

Shouldn't this be posted in the site suggestions/problems forum?

I haven’t seen anything like this with chrome on pc or on safari iPad. Are you only seeing it when you browse the forum not logged in? There are more ads if you do that (so suggest a simple solution, log in if you are).

please take a screen shot when you see it again and post

It is an advertising program and not a virus. It should not appear when logged in. As Dave says, more ads have always been displayed for Guests/Not Logged in.

Here are the screen pics, it pops up every time I click on a thread, when I kill the small popup by hitting x, then it just goes to the large pop up playing video, really annoying and overly aggressive. I ran several virus scans and nothing came up. May try shutting the computer down and running a boot up scan.

I don't log in unless I am going to post something.

Not sure why it is not doing it on other browsers, maybe I will complain to firefox, I have looked anyclips.com up and there are other complaints about it.

Like I previously said, this is not a virus but it's an advertising program by Internet Brands (parent company who owns Club Lexus). It also isn't specific to Firefox, as below is a Chrome screenshot showing the ad program.

I reiterate the above because scanning your computer, contacting Firefox, etc., won't really resolve the concern as it's part of the website as an advertisement program. You should not see the video when logged in.

I'm confused why you would come to the forum not signed in?

Why do I need to sign in if I am not posting something?

I don't sign in to every website/forum I visit, I don't even want to be a member to most sites I visit, I mainly just go on them to get some information, see if there is anything interesting being posted.

It would just never occur to sign out of CL when I do actually post here on a daily basis like you do as well. I just stay signed in all the time. Signing in will remove that ad.
