can we please go back to the old marketplace style? this new style is terrible and it doesn't seem to work at all.
i go to club lexus.com
hover over forums
over over vendor marketplace and classifieds
click club lexus member classifieds
click 1st gen is300
it says 'no results' even though on the side filter to the left i can see it says 'IS (25)'. can someone explain what is going on? what was wrong with the old style that prompted a switch to a new, much buggier, forum?
Here's the direct link to the marketplace https://www.clublexus.com/forums/market/ There is one and only one now; once in the marketplace you can narrow your selection of items to look at by your model and other items to filter the results
The member classifieds below it are archive only at this point.
Sorry, not going back to the old style. Try the new one, it's got some real advantages once you give it a shot and learn how it works.
I think there is more to the issue than that. Once in marketplace, I can't get it to filter by model to specifically find parts for say, 2nd Gen GS, etc, whether in PARTS or VEHICLES.
I agree with the above members. This new format for mkt place sucks. Very difficult to find parts and everything is bunched together . ie tires and rims in parts.

You can get to the tires and rims only detail by clicking two buttons. Exactly the same as the wheels classifieds, but improved by getting pictures, location of the seller and prices all in the list without drilling into each thread) by clicking two buttons.
First, select all Lexus vehicles (unless you want to narrow to your model), then just pick wheels/tires box as in the image below on the left.
I recognize it's different and nobody likes change, but it's a real improvement once you take just a little time to learn to use it.
I just sold my Lexus 2005 SC430. I have 2 sets of complete factory service manuals......something every owner should have. Can you please help me post this on the marketplace?????
Hi, you'll gain access shortly after just one more post in the main forums. The automated rule is 30 days / 30 posts membership OR 6 months and 5 posts (for folks that mainly lurk and read)
I can no longer see the new marketplace on the app
Just the old marketplaces
I know there were some issues with ability to start threads in the garage talk application which were causing member problems. Suspect it is related to that
Sorry I didn't circle back around. I confirmed that they removed the marketplace from the garage talk app entirely due to technical issues with the way that the marketplace works vs normal forums. It turns out that Marketplace as a whole didn't work properly in the app. Along with the posting problem, they found that all Marketplace listings within the app would only show their descriptions - no pricing information, no photos, no other details.
The Marketplace can still be accessed via mobile version browser from your device - just not via garage talk due to the issues above.
