well, the one in my sig is no more. i got tboned back on march 25th. car got hit on the A pillar passenger side. insurance deemed it total loss. I've been going to chiro and physio, and using spare time searching for another GS. what was good out of it was almost everything was off the car for paint as it was getting ready for a car show. however, damaged was the front wheel, coilover, and some other misc stuff.

i just picked up an 01 gs430. so piecing out parts i couldnt remove off the previous GS.

I had the same experience and worse . . . emailed TM with no response - twice. Tried the phone number and got generic "mailbox is full" recording. Finally drove to what is supposed to be the address on E. Dominguez, and their unit "A" is locked, with blacked out windows and no signs of life. I don't need anything badly enough to deal with a "vendor" like this.

I'm on Day 49. I have emailed maybe 6 times w/o receiving a response. I tried faxing him a printed version of my email, also with w/o receiving a response.

He did email asking about sending my steering rack bushings while I wait for the control arm bushing set. I replied saying please send what he had now and inquried about the control arm bushing in the same email... no response.

That's similar to what happened to me. I said send my stuff and got it 2-3 weeks later I think.

same here, haha. maybe instead of posting on CL and whining about how long yall have waited... you either be patient after placing your order.... or wait until the shipment of new bushings comes in and then order while they're in stock. This aint some mysterious conspiracy. Just a supplier being on backorder.

That's easy to say when you got yours in two days!

Some peeps here have waited over two months! That's unacceptable for ANYTHING! Back order or not.

Also, this TM has horrible communication problems.

At least tell people what's going on with their order.

I really wish there were at least another more reliable option.

There is NO other reliable option.

TM is the ONLY distributor for Daizen. Every other business that ever sold Daizen Products, got their shipment from TM. No one else currently makes the bushings and TM is dependent upon the supplier to make these parts quick enough, which apparently it is not under his control. Whether you get your order right away or not is TOTALLY dependent on when the shipment arrives from Daizen. TM is a one man operation, no big business with a bunch of employees to field all of the e-mail and phone calls for every back order that exists. I don’t condone or defend the actions or business practices of TM, I’m just telling you the way it is.

I’ve personally known Todd at TM for 10+ years and it has sometimes been a challenge to contact him, even as a non-customer. Back in the day when TM was an Authorized CL vendor and he ACTIVELY posted on the forums with technical advice, many people made good comments about him and did a lot of business with him. Sadly, those days are over, things have changed and I don't know why. I’ve noticed that out of the bazillion complaint threads on TM bushing orders posted over the past 3+ years, that those who seem to wait the longest tend to be the ones who appear more impatient and pushy (Example: Call and e-mail 10 times asking for status after waiting 1 to 2 weeks) If anything, over excessive email, will only **** him off and put you at the bottom of his order fulfillment list.

If it were me running the business, I would not accept orders until the bushings were in stock and then once sold out I would shut down online orderability until the next batch arrives. This would stop all of the e-mail frustration. Unfortunately this is not the case, so until someone else steps up and makes a comparable bushing to Daizen, you’ll just have to suck it up.
