We used to have bar none the best resource you could ever ask for in the form of the official wheel and tire figment guide here....... Problem is, for all those hundreds of people that get sent there when we don't have the time to answer their questions directly the first and MOST important post in the whole thread is completely busted in terms of it's picture representation of the facts it's laying out.

Can we pretty pretty please get all the images in the first post hosted and viewable again?

Heck, if you need some lifetime image hosting for them ask me and I'll handle it as we resell server space as is.

Seriously though - sending newb's there to learn and then throwing all this data at them in text form without the images to give the "Ah-ha!" for each thing is just shameful right?

So what needs to be done in order for this to happen? Anyone.....anyone?


Also, before everyone mentions all of the great and still existing pics from all of us the members that follow the original post..... yes, they are useful as well. But the whole reason we send new members there when they ask the exact same question again and again about which size and offset will look right and not need X or Y to work.... is that FIRST POST and all the data it contains.

some members post images on other servers other than CL servers. Maybe that's why some images don't show up, because simply they don't exist anymore

Very well......... open your PM box and pm the members. Complainers are rarely do-er's....... prove history wrong. You're mad that members took their pics down, but I don't see you complaining about it making them re-appear so start on post #1 and do something about it.

No prob O.L.T. Would you suggest simply PMing newyorksc or each of the members' referenced in the first post. I happen to think that he would have been the one with all the pics hosted himself because each of the dead image links point to the same image-serve as being missing. If each member was hosting one per the failure pages wouldn't have all been the same. Or at the very least a few would have been different.

Any advise I'll gladly take - in the mean time it's off to the PM room to get in touch.

That's why we always recommend using the gallery for CL related pics

heck, if you want and I can actually get the images themselves I'll put them in the gallery myself. We are still tied to newyorksc updating each image link manually though as he.... I take that back - your an OP now too - so you can update the link locations yourself just the same.

I'll keep you updated.

I also think adding a section in the first post for tire size, brand, and stretching on rims. Such as...

So people can get the idea on the stretching too...?
