Default Site is slow

This site along with the rest of CL has been real slow for over a week now. No doubt the moderators have to clean up the clutter.

Default Probably the holidays

Most people are to busy during the holidays, I check the BMW and Mercedes forums and they are all the same.

either that or the new GXs got so reliable and trouble free there is nothing to talk about.

Yeah, I wish they would speed it up. Sometimes I hit the back button and then the screen shows site is unavailable. I usually have to hit refresh or hit the forward button then go to the main page. Has anyone else experienced this as well?

Thanks Bob - yes we're aware of the issue.

We've had some very high volume (almost 1000 active members and guests online right now) that slows the site down, and I our tech guys were working on some issues as well.

Working on it, sorry for the inconvenience.

I've been wanting to try firefox. Would you guys say it's better than IE and can you still do all the same things with it?

What I meant by slow is that often the web page loads very slowly. No doubt the moderators have to clean out the server.

It is probably your computer, your connection, and/or your browser.

The site works extremely fast for me...

Try using firefox as a browser (there was an old post about some setting you could apply to make it faster)...also clean up your computer as it should make things a little faster.
