Guys,

Have been wanting to set up an Oklahoma meet but the Southwest boards are completely dead and I don't think most people look in there.

Is there anyway to search to find people from a particular state so I can PM them to set something up?

It is doable, but this site doen't seem to provide that kind of search function to users.
Actually, it is quite easy...just add a query string.
A lot of programmers can do that as long as they have the permission to query the database.

 

Admins have this feature I think.

DX3, you can do what I do, I am constantly looking at threads and when someone posts, I do look at where they list their city. Then I add them to my buddy list. From there, when its meet time, I send PMs to my buddies.
In 5 years now, I got 80 something buddies in GA. It took me some time.

Its not sophisticated but it worked for me

Like Mike said, watch posts and PM folks (that's what I typically do as well), plus search the forums for keywords like cities you're looking for or the state.
