Default Holiday group buys

After looking at the sticky from Dave at the top of the forums about the holiday group buys, I was left with a question. What happened to the group buys that we all "voted" on in that thread in the sc section? The most popular items seemed to be tt brakes, 60/120k service packages, and leather seats. I see none of these in the group buy forum at this point. Maybe I'm missing something, not looking hard enough, or should be emailing Steve, but if someone could tell me what happened and if these items are going to be offered, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!
Tim

Tim, I just got back from seeing Steve Ganz on Friday... Right now he is having a hard time finding GB items for the SC. The items that we voted for in every forum was to gauge interest/ideas in what people were wanting for their cars. However, trying to get those GB's to actually happen was a different story. Items from Japan were a NO go this year due to the Yen in Japan. (very costly to ship to the states) Many manufactures wanted a "minium" # of orders also... (problematic when it comes time for to pay up and members flake out) I'm sure Steve could get the TT brakes no problem but right now he's offering the Rotora's due to a high volume of members request. Daizen & TM Engineering did not particpate this time for GB's which was a shock to many of us. I believe your best bet is to contact Steve and talk to him regarding items you want. I'm sure Steve has one more GB up his sleeve......

Ken

The votes of members were passed along to Steve - he makes the determination if a group buy on the items asked for by our members will be offered. I'd suggest sending him a PM to find out if he's going to offer them.

Thanks Steve..... TT brakes come second on my personal list though unfortunately. I'm at 115k and absolutely need the 120k service pkg. My buddy with a 94 sc400 had 130k and needs the service pkg too so that right there is a guaranteed 2 orders if you put it up.

Thanks again,
Tim

Maybe I'm missing something in another thread... how can Steve offer a service package other than at his dealership @ Carson Toyota? Each dealer is independently owned and they set their own prices for service and parts (given guidelines from Lexus as a starting point, I'm sure).
